How to File a Claim

We understand that unforeseen events can occur, and we’re here to assist you every step of the way when you need to file a claim. Follow these simple steps to initiate the claims process:

  1. Tenant notifies facility manager or owner of the claim.
  2. Tenant takes photos of any damage to their items and the storage unit. Please take photos of the source of damage if possible and do not throw anything away until the facility manager or owner has been notified.
  3. In the event of a theft loss, the tenant needs to notify the local police department and file a report.
  4. Facility manager or owner will provide a Claims Information Form for the tenant to complete.
  5. Once the tenant returns the completed Claims Information Form and police report (if applicable) the facility will reach out to 6Storage Tenant Protection to begin the claims process.

If you need to file a claim or have any questions regarding our claims process, please contact us.
